We are big believers that you can become whatever you set your mind to. Goals are such an important part of that process. One of our favorite ways to reach our goals is through a vision board. It’s amazing how many times we have set goals that have felt so difficult at the times, but weeks, months and sometimes years later we look back and realize we've accomplished them. It's such a beautiful process.

Here's one way you can create a vision board. Just some ideas to get the creative juices flowing, because there really is no right or wrong way to do it. So take these ideas and make them your own:)

1. Set Goals

Start your process by thinking about what you want to accomplish in the coming year. Take time to really think through these goals. Make them meaningful and stretching.

2. Create Sections

We usually aim for 4-6 sections. Some examples would be physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, professional, relationships, skills/talents, etc. Categorize your goals into each of these sections. This will quickly show if you have too many goals in one category and too few in another. Don’t go for a perfect balance but try to put some meaningful goals in each section.

3. Hunt for Images

Since most people don’t have magazines laying around, we recommend finding some online and printing out your favorites. If you want to go vintage and use real magazines, try grabbing some from Goodwill or other shops nearby. Hunt for any picture, color, word or anything else that speaks to you or one of your goals.

4. Arrange Images and Attach Images

Try to categorize everything you have printed or cut out into your sections on your poster board. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and some cutouts may transfer categories before you’re through. Be creative! Once you feel you have the perfect vision board, glue it down to your board.

5. Add Your Own Drawings and Words

This is an another idea to add some more inspo to your board. Feel free to add your own words or drawings. Personalize the board until you feel like it beautifully represents your goals and dreams.

You’re done! Now hang it in a spot that can be easily seen. Bedroom walls, mirrors, or even personal bathrooms are great places to keep these goals top of mind.

Then, go make that vision board come true!
